The new season version is in progress and is expected to be available at the end of September to include as much progress as possible and apply the latest stats that is expected soon, any work not done by then will be added in later updates
It's hard to list the huge amount of changes and improvements in the new version, see below some information regarding Football Life 2024

Full version (all in one)
Every new season comes with a new full version, FL23 will remain for season 22/23 and will be available in the menu like all previous SP versions.
There are fixes and enhancements that were not applied mid-season in FL23 due to requiring a new master league, like league rules and database upgrades and enhancements, these changes will be applied in the new version FL24.
New Master League:
Every new season requires a new master league, the changes in the database and assets will require that and saves from FL23 cannot continue in FL24, as the teams and players are not the same as in the database where the master league was started on.

Database:
A full database review is underway,
- Squads update for all clubs
A full squad review is underway, more than 10,000 transfers are expected every summer transfer window, this also includes updating formations, player numbers, coaches and all other team attributes.
- Update players' stats
The player stats will be updated to the latest stats, FL uses the konami database as a reference, but the stats are not identical, not only due to the changes in konami rates but also to suit the gameplay and mechanics in football life.
- Add missing players to the database
Around 3000 players are added in each new season version. These players are added to their respective teams, players use konami ID, if a player was never created then a temporary ID will be assigned, if a player is expected to be added to the konami database, in this case, this player will not be added with temporary ID but will wait until the player features in konami database then add in future FL updates.
- Review league rules and configuration
There are changes in the rules and structure of some leagues, this is a delicate action and needs much testing to avoid bugs and potential crashes due to system changes.
- Classic players review
Classic players will be reviewed with help from (MP)
-National teams squads
National selections are made following official squad announcements before a major event only, a review of national team squads is expected mid-season if an official team squad is available.
* In football life, player db is unavailable, editing or changing other DB files is not recommended and can cause serious bugs.

Leagues and Teams:
The selection of teams and leagues in Football Life is an internal process that involves careful consideration. It's essential to understand that adding or excluding an entire league or team is a complex decision influenced by various factors, not to mention the substantial time investment required to include a new league.
While everyone has their preferences, adding all desired leagues is not possible, choices must be made in the best interest of smokepatch as a whole.
In the future, we plan to introduce polls to gather opinions from the community. We've tried this approach before, but the results were skewed due to invalid votes. To address this, a new poll system will be implemented at some point later.
League Status:
Below is an overview that provides insights into the selection and potential changes within Football Life's leagues and teams, decisions are made thoughtfully and with the best interests of the community and the game's overall experience in mind.

Leagues That Might Be Replaced in the future:
Greece League (new):
Added as a replacement for the Serbian league in FL24. The presence of this league will be observed, and its inclusion in future versions is uncertain.
MLS (unstable structure):
While the MLS has been part of the SP database since PES16, its unstable nature due to constant changes (including reaching an odd number of 29 teams) puts its presence in future versions in doubt.
Russian League (not eligible in Europe competition):
Currently featured in FL24, the Russian Premier League might face replacement due to political issues that prevent its eligibility for European competitions.
Indonesian League (low league ranking):
Included in FL23 due to its sizable fanbase and still present in FL24, the Indonesian league's future presence is uncertain due to its lower ranking compared to other leagues.
Denmark League (low league ranking):
Always on the brink of replacement due to its low ranking, the Danish League's inclusion could change in future versions.
Leagues That Might Be Added in the future:
South Korean League (high ranking, high volume of fans):
this league is always in consideration to be added to the database, it would be a great addition, however, the Indonesian league was selected in its place, the Korean league is always a potential addition that might come in future versions.
Saudi Arabian League (gaining momentum, fast-growing):
With an increasing number of stars joining the league, the KSA league's appeal is growing, making it a potential addition if it retains the stars acquired and continues to grow.
Persian League (high ranking):
the Persian league is always in consideration, it has a high ranking but is not high enough to be included and the fanbase from Iran is small (according to analytics and downloads), and there are other high-ranking Asian league alternatives.
Germany's Second Division (high low-tier league ranking):
The 2. Bundesliga is a desirable addition, but current technical limitations prevent its inclusion as a second division. Discussions are underway as Germany's fanbase grows, potentially replacing another second-division league.
Mexican League (high ranking):
The Liga MX is attractive for inclusion; however, the MLS usually occupies a similar slot, making its inclusion challenging but not impossible.
Ecuador/Uruguay/Peru Leagues (high ranking):
These high-ranking leagues are potential options if space allows for their inclusion.

Gameplay:
The gameplay in Football Life 2024 is built upon the foundation established by FL23's gameplay, which is meticulously balanced to strike a good balance between realism and playability.
Testing the FL gameplay is exhaustive and methodical. These tests span multiple seasons, ensuring that the gameplay remains stable and well-balanced. tests are made across all game modes, controller assistance options, and difficulty levels. This comprehensive testing process guarantees that the gameplay remains consistent and enjoyable, regardless of the user's settings preferences.
Detailing the changes that differ from the FL gameplay from the original is a complex task. Essentially, we make adjustments across the board, both minor and substantial, to refine the gameplay experience. the goal is to create a gameplay experience that mirrors real football dynamics while ensuring that it remains engaging and satisfying for players.
The recommended difficulty level is super-star (slightly harder than super-star in PES), legend difficulty (unlocks after winning 5 games in super-star) is designed to be a challenge for those who are looking for the hardest way to win. To provide the users with a deeper understanding of the gameplay, we are developing a dedicated gameplay page. This will offer users insights into the mechanics and principles of the Football Life gameplay.

Graphics/Stadiums
big changes and upgrades for all aspects concerning all aspects of graphics, including menus, in-game graphics and all other theme-related files
Kits are being updated with the help of JPKits With his generous help, the first version will have more updated kits than the first release of FL23.
Football Life 2024 comes with 46 pre-installed stadiums, same as in FL23
Most preinstalled stadiums have updates, mostly for quality enhancements. Stadium Addon is compatible with FL24

I have stopped creating adboards, instead this version i will be adapting and updating adboards by Predator002, all credit to him for his wonderful work.

Audio and BGM:
In Football Life 2024, the selection of BGM comes with the advantage of being loyalty-free and streamer-friendly, allowing content creators to incorporate it into their broadcasts with proper credits and track links.
Additionally, we are working on alternative BGM options that will be made accessible through the addon menu. Furthermore, for those who enjoyed the background music from FL23, it will be available as an addon for FL24.

Addons:
Football Life includes pre-installed addons, other addons that are significant in terms of file size are kept as optional addons, addons are available in the addons menu on the smokepatch website, Pre-installed addons will be detailed in the addons menu soon, this will help users who like to experiment with mods.
there will be a dedicated page to detail the installed features and discuss editing the game in multiple aspects.
FL24 remains compatible with mods made for PES, however not all mods can be applied to football life, database mods would not work, and others cannot work unless the preinstalled one is removed.
Note that I do not recommend adding mods blindly without knowing how it can affect the game, Some addons might replace existing ones and some might cause serious issues, make a backup before changing anything and get information from the maker of the mods for installation.
